My idea of the way forward

• A GPS backs-up our own navigation ability

 

• A GPS does not replace navigation - just aids it

 

• The GPS will keep a check while we chat to clients

 

• Ideally, all the walks would be on a micro-SD card

 

• The GPS batteries have a battery-charger in the hotel

 

• The track-files would be created during surveys

The future?

• An envelope comes from Welwyn office containing a microSD card

 

• You put the card into your GPS

 

• You go off to lead your tour with help on route-finding assured
